We are a production studio dedicated to give women’s stories the scale, depth and daring they’ve always deserved. Producing and developing film, television and episodic work that centers female voices, reframes historical and contemporary narratives, and elevates stories overlooked by mainstream media. Through character-led storytelling and rigorous development, we aim to champion female narratives for a global audience.

McKenzie Salvatierra Custin
Executive Producer / Writer / Director / Actor
Having a graduate and post graduate degree in Musical Theatre and Acting, Mckenzie came to film and writing during the pandemic. She fell in love with the freedom to explore stories that had yet to be told, have a direct hand in creating them and the ability to give other artists opportunity.
As the founder and executive producer, she is committed to expanding the community, launching careers and showing deeply human stories on commercial platforms.

Tori Palin
With a strong foundation in theater and a growing body of work in television and film, Tori has been with HerStories since inception. As a head of Creative Direction, she is focused on continued growth and cultivation of meaningful industry relationships.
With an indie pilot episode under her belt, she continues to expand in the industry, focusing on storytelling, artist collaboration, and production leadership. She is deeply committed to creating opportunities for artists in her community—both behind and in front of the camera—and to championing inclusive, artist-driven work.

Do you solely work with female artists?
While we are very passionate about launching female artists and narratives, we are so excited and ready to work with any artist of any identity.

Do you take submissions from actors or other filmmakers?
Absolutely. We are all about agency and amplifying new voices. If you're an actor, have a script, a project or even an idea, we want to hear about it! Reach out through our contact form with a brief synopsis, script sample, reel or resume. Our development team reviews submissions monthly and will connect if it’s a good fit.
What kind of work do you produce?
We are story first and open to all mediums. While our background and expertise is in live theatre, film and episodic work, we are willing and ready to expand our repertoire. Have something good? Let us know!
